Basketball

Basketball club is open to all students of our school. Basketball is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4-5:30pm at the school’s gym and coached by Mr. Edwards

Cheerleading

The CheerleadingTeam at Luisa Dessus Cruz M.S. 302 is the school’s spirited squad of energetic students who support athletics, events, and school pride. Since launching its first-ever team this year, the group has been featured in pep rallies and Spirit Week, bringing high-energy performances and uniting the Warrior community through enthusiastic cheering and school spirit

Soccer

The Soccer Team at Luisa Dessus Cruz M.S. 302 brings students together through athletic mentorship and school spirit. With support from Columbia University staff, Warrior players learn teamwork, develop skills, and celebrate competitive success—like their first win of the season—fostering confidence and pride on the field.

Volleyball

The Volleyball Team at Luisa Dessus Cruz M.S. 302 includes both Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity squads, offering students varying levels of competitive play and skill development. These teams participate in PSAL-sanctioned matches and practices that focus on athletic growth, teamwork, and school pride — with girls’ JV leading the way under an organized athletics program

Flag Football

Flag Football is a fun, fast-paced, and inclusive sport that promotes teamwork, fitness, and sportsmanship. Students learn the fundamentals of football—passing, catching, running plays—while focusing on strategy and safe, non-contact competition. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, flag football is a great way to stay active, build confidence, and enjoy the game!

Swimming

Swimming is a lifelong skill that promotes strength, discipline, and endurance. Students learn proper technique in various strokes, improve their speed, and build confidence in the water through individual and team-based activities.

Track & Field encourages students to challenge themselves through running, jumping, and throwing events. It helps build stamina, speed, and goal-setting habits, all while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

The Baseball program builds teamwork, discipline, and athletic skills through practices and competitive games. Students learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, and strategy while developing sportsmanship and school spirit.
